Thus, Stratified…
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a Azm)
Thy father,
a potter,
lived in the valley green;
Made vases,
carved traces,
held ‘em tight together as seen.
Beauty captured,
(In)clay clustered,
Stood proud and tall;
Jealous neighbor,
broke through (the)door,
planned to make it fall.
He took,
off the hook,
with a miser grin on his face;
Smashed it,
into tiny bit(s),
yet took over the case.
Father look!
we shook,
realized he lay there dead;
Speechless,
senseless,
sleeping on his death bed.
Fragile and sad,
surrounded by the bad,
mourning at such grief;
Now we’ve learnt,
it can’t be brought,
together again to stand there stiff.

Dear Winter!
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)
The chill that runs down my spine
Oh! Winter you’re so not mine.
There the tiny powerless sun I see
And the long darkness waiting for me
Makes me sad; in vain goes my sanity
Feels like a curse for humanity
You’d be admired in a case for sure
If we were penguins we’d absolutely adore
I sit by the window and worse I see
The whole world pictured right before me
The high ones lay in their cozy rooms
But the homeless can lit no fuel
Pity on them; have mercy I say
End your stay and go away
How we long for you to go back
And then the awesome spring to crack!
Dance with me again!
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)

I look forward for another chance
The same place and the same dance
You take the lead I’ll move along
Hold me tight; let’s not get it wrong
Take a twist, take a turn
Mix few more steps and then return
The spot light will shine again
We’ll dance again in the heavy rain
Hear the music change; dance with the beat
With a twist and some taps of the feet
Let the world laugh we won’t care
It’s you I want to dance with, always be there!!

The Full Moon
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)

The Full moon up there waving down
Seems like a woman with sticks and hay
Traces of the father left behind
Yet left to perceive and rewind
Lights she spreads pretty deep blue
And the city down there as good as new
But would go back home pretty soon
She’d again return, blossom and bloom
People point out to the dark spots in her
They’re unaware that’s beauty we fall for
The reason she had as she showed up today
For the people like was to live her way
To be the real hero in the dark
Put smile on faces as the beauty sparks!
The black and white world
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)

The pinch in the heart; the big lie
The evil smile; hypnotic lullaby
And there besides the innocent eye
With a demon alive inside
The day that shone the night that’d mourn
The awful dusk the delightful dawn
It’s the white the lords the black the fraud
Just as the dark demon and the handsome god
On the face the mask they wear
Hide the black cause dark they fear
And then the feelings within they’d hold
I call this the black and white world!!

Followed by the HAILSTORM
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)
Hailstorm that broke throughYet over within a tick of the clock;Out swam children to collect a fewNone aware the poor birdie was stuck;
They tried to capture the scene in lensThe dazzling flashes thanking the scienceA while past the change appearedLumps of ice into water had turned
Picture taken was crystal clearThe injured bird hit hard by the hailIn the back yard it laid. Alas! Left thereThe path through heaven it’d sailMournful faces wished the clock’d struck a bit slowThe poor birdie could be healed; it wouldn’t have to go

Wake up WORLD!!!
Composed by: Ashma Aryal (a.k.a. Azm)

Who is taller they ask one another
Competing to reach the sky; rest doesn’t matter
The greenery destroyed; out of sight
Glass, bricks and stones; their unlimited height
no forest not a single tree
Development they say; I don’t agree
No fresh air to breathe
Selfish people; their selfish greed
Poor innocent creatures chased away
Not even left with their home to stay
How ugly would be to think so
Wealthy ones high and the rest low
They should get back to where they belong
Realize that they’re harming others; doing the wrong
The dark areas need more emphasis
Not to focus on what already exists
We want our healthy lives back
Greenery around shouldn’t lack
Dreaming for better lives and better future
No ugly structure but be embraced by the nature
